Hey! Did you know there were other English Playwrights working at the same time as William Shakespeare?

Sometimes it’s easy to forget; but the world is experiencing a resurgence in Shakespearean contemporary performance.

Part III is dedicated to understanding the difference and similarities in performance, style, and, overall, ‘scene,’ of Shakespearean Contemporaries.

The work we will examine comes from Ben Jonson, Christopher Marlowe, Thomas Middleton, William Rowley, Jon Webster, John Fletcher.

The artist will get a chance to become familiar with, and play with, these often-forgotten works from the theatre.

(Techniques used Meyerhold, Brecht)
